Giovanni Di Liberto received the B.E. degree in Information Engineering and the M.Sc. degree in Computer Engineering from University of Padua (Universita' degli Studi di Padova), Italy, respectively in 2011 and 2013. He spent the last year of his M.Sc. at University College Cork (UCC), Ireland, where he worked at his thesis, entitled "DASH: Dynamic Approach for Switching Heuristics", under the supervision of Dr. Yuri Malitsky, Prof. Barry O'Sullivan (Cork Constraint Computation Centre), and Prof. Matteo Fischetti (Universita' degli Studi di Padova).

Giovanni is currently studying for a PhD under Dr. Edmund Lalor's supervision at TCD. The idea is to combine his background in Computer Engineering and the expertise in Neuroscience of the research lab with the goal to employ cutting edge algorithms to decode complex concepts from multivariate neural data. In particular, the study of the neural underpinnings of speech processing in humans has been a main focus of his research.
